LiveHealthcare marketplace

Doctors, labs, medicine —one app.

A healthcare super-app: book consultations by video, in clinic or at home; order medicines with a prescription; book lab tests with home collection; find hospital beds — and reach emergency services — all in one place.

The brief

Healthcare is fragmented: one app for doctors, another for medicines, a third for lab tests, and none of them talk. The idea was a single marketplace where patients, doctors, labs and pharmacies meet.

That meant one platform carrying very different flows — appointments, regulated orders, home logistics and emergencies — with every partner paid correctly at the end.

The hard parts

What made ithard — and how.

The problems that don't show up in a screenshot, but decide whether a product survives real users.
01

Medicine orders that respect prescriptions

The problem

Some medicines can't be sold without a valid prescription, and orders move through many hands.

The approach

Each item declares whether it needs a prescription, duplicates are rejected, and every order moves through an explicit lifecycle with a timestamp at each step — from request to delivery.

Regulated itemsOrder lifecycle
02

One pricing engine, five kinds of booking

The problem

Consultations, medicines, lab tests, packages and beds all price differently.

The approach

A shared engine applies list-to-selling price, then either a coupon or a package rule — never both — then each partner's commission split and any delivery or home-collection fee.

03

Slots that can't double-book

The problem

Doctors publish batches of slots, and many patients book at once.

The approach

Slot creation checks every interval overlap within the batch and against existing slots, and booking capacity is enforced with atomic counters.

04

Care that comes to you

The problem

Home sample collection and nearby clinics depend on where the patient actually is.

The approach

Geo indexes find nearby clinics and labs, and distance gates whether home collection is available and what it costs.
